'Vampire Diaries' Star Michael Trevino Previews His Turn As Klaus

Spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched the season three finale of «The Vampire Diaries»!

Earlier this week, we caught up with «Vampire Diaries» stars Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley to find out what will become of Elena’s compelled-away memories now that she’s become a bloodsucker. But our protagonist wasn’t the only one left transformed in the season three finale. As you’ll recall, villainous vamp Klaus took over Tyler’s body. What will this mean for the werewolf and the vampiress who loves him?

«It’s going to be very interesting,» Tyler’s real-life alter ego Michael Trevino told us recently at Comic-Con. «We’re just about to finish the first episode of our fourth season. What’s really important is the interaction between Klaus-Tyler and Caroline now. Because that’s a love triangle within itself, and Klaus is totally going to take advantage of being in Tyler’s body, and he totally pushes the limit, especially in the first episode when we come back, so we’re going to tackle that right away.»

Klaus, pushing limits? How unheard of! But all joking aside, how long can we expect this body-snatching to last?

«I don’t know how long I’m going to be able to play Klaus,» Michael said. «You figure, Joseph Morgan is a big part of our show. He’s a fan favorite, so Klaus is going to come back sooner rather than later, but it is going to stir the pot a bit with him being Tyler and interacting with Caroline.

«I think season four is finally the time we finally figure out who she is going to chose. Is she going to go with Klaus? Is she going to go with Tyler? Or neither? Because that triangle has been in existence for a while now.»

Whatever happens, Michael insisted Caroline will make a decision and it won’t be both. Too bad.

Which suitor do you think Caroline should choose? Are you excited to see Michael play Klaus? Sound off in the comments and on Twitter!

‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 4 Spoilers: Season Premiere News, Plus What’s Happening To Your Favorite Characters This …

Now onto what Elena, Damon and the gang will be up to this season…

Elena

The girl of the hour! It looks like Elena will never be able to escape her love triangle with the Salvatore brothers because she’s now living an eternal life with them. Executive Producer Julie Plec revealed some very juicy gossip about Mystic Falls newest vampire. According to Plec she is going to have her «first hot vampire sex» with another vampire, but the executive producer didn’t say with who! TVGuide lists Damon, Stefan, Klaus, Matt and Elijah as possible suitors for the dead brunette.

«Delena» fans may be in luck with Elena remembering things she was compelled to forget. It’s reported that Elena will remember a moment from season two in which Damon confesses that he loves her. Elena won’t realize that it’s a memory, and instead will think that the moment happened in the present, reports TV Guide. Could this evolve into the steamy sex scene everyone is talking about?

Damon

Damon might have lost a solid drinking buddy when Alaric died, but another vampire in town looks like he’ll be filling in.

«I think Tyler is up to the challenge of picking up at the bar where Alaric left off,» Michael Trevino says of his character Tyler.

Ian Somerhalder fueled rumors of their newfound friendship, stating that «enemies will become allies.» But will Damon be drinking with Tyler…or Klaus in Tyler’s body?

Stefan

Stefan will have his hands full with a lot more than Elena. According to TVGuide, the vampire is getting a new set of wheels to show off his «rebellious side.» More specifically, the set of wheels is a motorcycle.

«I ride a triumph but I’m hoping Stefan gets something vintage,» Paul Wesley says of riding in season four.

Is the motorcycle a way to entice Elena, who may be digging someone with a bad boy image (like Damon?

Keck's Exclusives: Vampire Diaries New-Season Secrets

I chatted up The Vampire Diaries exec producer Julie Plec and her bloodsucking CW cast at Comic-Con. Among the bombs dropped:

- Early in the season, newly-turned vampire Elena (Nina Dobrev will have what Plec calls her «first hot vampire sex» with either Damon, Stefan, Klaus, Matt or Elijah. A possible clue as to who the lucky guy is? «Elena saved Matt’s life, so he’s going to end up paying it forward in a very peculiar way.» Dobrev’s reaction to the action: «It’s like she’s going through puberty and vampire sex is going to feel like her first time.»

- Stefan (Paul Wesley will be driving a new motorcycle to show off his rebellious side. «I ride motorcycles in my daily life, so I’m excited to burn some rubber,» says Wesley, who’d been campaigning for these wheels. «I ride a Triumph but I’m hoping Stefan gets something vintage.»

- Damon (Ian Somerhalder will find a new daytime drinking buddy in Tyler (Michael Trevino. «I think Tyler is up to the challenge of picking up at the bar where Alaric left off,» says Trevino. Adds Somerhalder: «Enemies will become allies.»

- The fourth episode flashes back 900 years to shed further light on Rebekah (Claire Holt, who’s looking for a new place to live. «The Salvatore house is huge,» suggests Somerhalder. «And so is Damon’s bed!»

- Expect a «big, spontaneous, explosion of joy with some kissing» the first time Caroline (Candice Accola lays eyes on Tyler, who she thought died. «Shirts are flying off in our first episode back,» teases Trevino.

- Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen will possibly find love with new character April (Grace Phipps, who arrives in Episode 2, a pastor’s daughter who returns from boarding school under tragic circumstances and reconnects with her childhood friend. «It will be interesting to see where they go with that,» says McQueen. «But he and Bonnie still have some unfinished business.»
